Grading & Homework submission:
The grading will be based on Homework (30%), Midterm exam (30%) and Final exam (40%).

Course schedule: 
Lecture:
  • Time: Friday 3rd period (13:00 - 14:30).
  • Place: C15 (ILAS Main building)

Tutorial:
  • Time: Tuesday first half of 3rd period (13:00 -13:45).
    From 13:45 - 14:30, there will be Tutorial 1a (Calculus I).

Week 01 (10/02-10/08): ​Introduction & Linear systems 
Week 02 (10/09-10/15): Matrices and vectors 
Week 03 (10/16-10/22): Sets and functions
Week 04 (10/23-10/29): Linear maps
Week 05 (10/30-11/05): - No lecture on 3rd November (文化の日, culture day) - 
Week 06 (11/06-11/12): Linear maps in geometry
Week 07 (11/13-11/19): Midterm Exam (17th November 2023, 13:00)
-- Matrix multiplication (Lecture on Saturday November 18th, make-up day for 3rd November. This will be in Zoom (Meeting ID in TACT).
Week 08 (11/20-11/26): The inverse of a linear map
Week 09 (11/27-12/03): Subspaces, Kernel & Image 
Week 10 (12/04-12/10): Subspaces, Kernel & Image II, Linear independence I
Week 11 (12/11-12/17): Linear independence II & Bases I 
Week 12 (12/18-12/24): Bases II & Dimension,  🎄 22nd December: Christmath challenge 2023 in the lecture 🎄
Week 13 (12/25-12/31): 🎅 no tutorial on 26th December 🎅
